Mega cleaning today

Hmmm...I have to get organized with the cleaning today. We have 10 college kids coming to stay with us. I will have much cooking to do today. Oh yeah, and have to make valentines cookies for all the kids classes.

Yes! Kids have school today.

Well, I thought school would be cancelled again. I am so thankful that it's not. I have much to do today, as a work group is coming in tomorrow, which has 53 college students signed up. It could be more or less. I guess we will have about 10 people staying at our house.

Mom- Pslm 27:13 No matter what you are going through, know that the Lord has your best interest at heart. Don't look at your circumstances, look to the Lord, He is your rescurer. He is your everything.

Hubby's Birthday

Hubby's b-day. Wow, are we middle aged now? That's hard to believe. I used to think it was old. My perspective has changed. I am so blessed to have such a great hubby, one that runs hard after the Lord. He is one that constantly wants to change and die to self so that the Lord can use him. I love that so much about him. We actually celebrated his b-day last night and the night before I made him his shake-n-bake chicken (I know, not chops) Looking forward to a great day. Yes, we do have family staff time today, but that's OK. Oh yeah, and we have to meet with attorney for the kids and oh yeah, we have a function at the school tonight, oops and tutoring for the kids tonight. Good thing we are celebrating his b-day next week. Yes, we will be going to Kansas city for 3 days.

Dad- 2 Kings 16 We have to keep focused on the Lord or we will do things that we will regret later

Super Bowl Day.

We are having a Super Bowl Party. Go Colts! Off to early morning service, hopefully the one child will obey today.

Dad- 1 Chro 26- God has people in all the places that He needs them

Mom- Acts14:22 It is necessary to pass through many troubles on our way to the kingdom of God. Even when we allow we allow the enemy to cause us to stumble, God is working behind the scenes. Many times our breakthroughs/revelations come after we stumble. Keep your eyes on the prize.

What's in your Heart?

Snow...ok, Lord I will LOVE the snow. You showed me the little treasures in the snow today. We made snow ice-cream, which is very easy to make 1 gallon of snow, 2 cups of milk, 1 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon vanilla, mix all together and enjoy. I loved playing outside with the kids and hearing them giggle and have a good time.

Dad- 1 Chron 25 God loves praise and worshop that is going to glorify Him

Mom- 1 John 2:24-27 We were built for adventure. What's holding you back from surrendering your ALL to Jesus? Are you just squeezing time in to spend with Him? Are you excited to spend time with Him each day expecting Him to show you little nuggets of truth and correction? Run to Him to see what treasures He has for you each day.

Conviction!

Dad- 1 Chron 24 We all are given gifts and should operate in them whenever we can

Mom- We need to celebrate that the Lord created us uniquely different. We should use our differences to serve others. It's an awesome thing that God didn't create us into cookie-cutter images. Remember the Lord is busy molding you into someone NO one else has ever been. You are God's created masterpiece. God has equipped you with ALL that you need.Don't let others try to mold you into the way they think you should look. Lord forgive me for trying to mold others and expecting others to run whole heatedly after you. This is a struggle for me, Lord help me to just love on them, exactly where they are.

Family time today

Dad- 1 Chron 23 All roles are important to God

Mom- Acts 12:1-5 Are you willing to grow intimate with the Lord even if it means you must do it alone? How dependent are you on others for your relationship with Jesus? Have you really surrendered your spouse, children and parents to Him? Let go of everything and let God really change you.

Dad- 1 Chron 22- We don't always understand why God has us do something a certain way. His ways are not our ways

Mom- Acts 8 Are you prejudice in any areas of your life- Do you judge those that don't seem to be on the same walk as you are? Oh, Lord, forgive me and help me to walk the way you want me to walk. Keep my fire burning no matter what everyone else is doing.

We have an active week ahead of us.

I am so glad that we are back into small groups. I knew that we were really missing something.

Today we are working on Asia, Solomn and making a shoebox for Bethany, which she will share with one of her friends. It will be about her life, pics and stories.
